Lord, I receive.

Lord, I receive who You have called me to be.

Lord, I receive the fact that who You have called me to be includes a plan for my life and death.

Lord, I receive that You have work for me to do that was pre-ordained specifically for me before I was ever born.

Lord, I receive the spiritual gifts You have given me to carry out who You have called me to be.

Lord, I receive the fact that You have completely forgiven me of all sin.

Lord, I receive that to the degree that I don’t receive Your forgiveness is the degree to which I limit the possibility of fully being who You have called me to be.

Lord, I receive the fact that You love me perfectly.

Lord, I receive that to the degree I don’t accept Your love, is the degree to which I will be ineffective living out who You have called me to be because I will look for earthly substitutes to fill the void left by unbelief.

Lord, I receive that I can’t make You love me more or less by my actions but I can choose to limit my experience of Your love by my actions.

Lord, I receive Your power to be who you have called me to be.

Lord, I receive that I cannot be who You have called me to be in my own power.

Lord, I receive the fact that unless I abide in Your power, I will be ineffective.

Lord, I receive that I have to surrender my will to function in Your will.

Lord, I receive that this surrender is an act of my will yet an act of Your grace since it is only by my will that I let go but it is only by Your grace that I can do so and function in Your power as a result.

Lord, I receive that I can’t worry about how You accomplish all of this because that puts me in control.

Lord, I receive that control is the opposite of surrender.

Lord, I receive that I cannot be afraid that You will not accomplish Your plan for me in the way that I want.

Lord, I receive that fear puts the enemy in control and short-circuits my ability to walk in Your plan and hear your voice.

Lord, I receive that to walk in fear is the opposite of walking confidently in Your love.

Lord, I receive abundant life that is the result of living out who You have called me to be.

Lord, I receive all the suffering coming my way as a result of living out who You have called me to be.

Lord, I receive that some of that suffering will come because the world hates You and it will therefore hate me.

Lord, I receive that some of that suffering will be the result of my own sinful decisions.

Lord, I receive that consequences from sin do not mean that You don’t love me, in fact they prove that You do.

Lord, I receive that You teach me to function in Your holiness by allowing me to experience the consequences of my sin.

Lord, I receive that I will suffer as a result of Your discipline and this will frequently be undeserved suffering that grows me spiritually in ways that I could not grow otherwise.

Lord, I receive that the sooner I surrender and praise You in the midst of my suffering, the sooner I will learn what you are trying to teach me.

Lord, I receive that You not only know what is best but still give me the choice to function in Your best or choose to function in my own, self-centered way.

Lord, I receive that my decisions not only follow me throughout my life but follow me for all of eternity.

Lord, I receive that what I believe is of the utmost importance in life.

Lord, I receive that false concepts about You show up in false actions in my life.

Lord, I receive that what I receive about You will be my motivation and driving force in my life.

Lord, I receive that the enemy will do everything in his power to prevent me from receiving all of this.

Lord, I don’t receive the lies of the enemy.

Lord, I receive the truth.

Lord, I receive You.
